If you follow me on Instagram, you will probably have seen (due to my excessive posting, just for something different) that a few weekends ago I went glamping in Gippsland with a bunch of bloggers and Five AM Organics, in honour of Organic Awareness month.
Call me a snob, (really, because I am) but I had never really been interested in exploring Rural Victoria. (Victoria is an Australian State of which Melbourne is the capital, for any international readers) I have to say, I retract my original stance after this trip. The countryside (only an hour out of Melbourne) was so beautifully scenic, and the people were so laid-back and overtly friendly. Two qualities inner city Melbournians aren't necessarily renowned for.
We rode in a Vintage VW Combi, picnic-ed in the sun while little piglets frollicked in the surrounds, fell asleep in indulgent 'glamping' tents (to the sound of the cows in the field nextdoor) did Pilates while taking in the scenery, and spent the day cooking at the absolutely glorious Tamsin's Table in Poowong. (hehe) All in all, my idea of actual heaven. Except maybe Pilates before a double shot iced latte (there it is, my inner wanker)
I took a lifetime of snaps over the course of the weekend, and really just desperately wanted to share them in the hope that someone out there is as interested in them as I am. MUCH SWOON.
